Tony Love Inc.

Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Tony Love is a seasoned veteran guitarist/bassist who began playing in a show band called the "Mall City Players" (or “MCP”) in Kalamazoo, Michigan. MCP played a variety of music genres proficiently and that helped to hone Tony’s craft as a musician and vocalist. In early 1980's Tony moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dream to make it big in the music business. His efforts started to pay off by the early 1990's when he began to tour the world with the likes of Howard Hewett, LL Cool J, Norman Brown and Luther Vandross.

After the Vandross tour, Tony relocated to Atlanta, Georgia and began a career as a songwriter and session musician. He met with Khyry Abdulsamad, the oldest brother in the R&B quartet group, The Boys, which was comprised of four brothers, Khyry, Hakim, Taj and Bilal. During their 2nd songwriting studio session, Hakim and Tony produced and wrote the music for “Operations Of Nature” the lyrics were written by, the then unknown 21 year old artist, Akon. Within three months, all three collaborated and recorded four additional songs that became Akon’s demo record presented to Sylvia Rhone, then CEO of Electra Records. As a result, Akon landed his first recording contract with Electra Records. In summer of 1995, "Operations Of Nature" was released as the first single from the album “Dark And Light Shadows”.

Tony and Akon continued to work together for another 9 years until Akon received a new recording contract with SRC/Universal. Together Love & Akon wrote the song "Journey", from Akon’s debut album “Trouble” which was released in the summer of 2004 and became platinum. Tony also played guitar and bass on 5 other records on the “Trouble” album.

Additionally Tony has built his successful reputation as a session musician playing guitars and bass with countless recording artists like Akon, T Pain, Gwen Stefani, Pink, Kellis, Nelly, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and many more! Tony Love has co-written many songs with the artist Akon including the #1 single, "Don't Matter," which has sold over 4 million records worldwide. You also can hear Tony’s guitar work on the Gwen Stefani hit record “Sweet Escape”. In 2007 Sweet Escape landed at #2 on the Billboard hot 100 chart, and at the same time that the single “Don’t Matter” was #1 on the same chart.

“Endless Love” is the second album released from Tony Love on CD Baby. His first album, "It's All About Love," was released in 2004 and is available on iTunes and CD Baby.
